D-Now
NeutralAfter going to D-Now with
's church this past weekend I'm really glad that I went. I noticed that God moved a lot of people in the way that they showed it emotionally, but even though he was working me over, I didn't really get that way; I just kept it to myself. I'm not sure if that was the best thing in the world to do... but that's just how I go about things with God. I normally don't show it outwardly. Either way though, he 'was' working on me this weekend and I realized the main thing I'm going to focus on working on in my life: my relationships.
I joke around with friends, but I know that sometimes I make the mistake of saying something mean or disheartening to them whenever I don't mean it. I want to try and tame my tongue a little more. I want to show love to my friends, as I would hope that they would show that love in return. I treasure my friends so very dearly and I want them to know that. I want to be a good witness to my friends through my lifestyle, not by saying vulgar things every other sentence.
Then, in my relationship with my parents I'm trying to become a better daughter. So far, since I've been home, I've catered to my parents, helped out around the house, and haven't back talked them(except for once... but just once). Even though my parents get on my nerves and we don't always see eye-to-eye, they're still my parents and they've given me the best of everything they could afford to keep me happy. I owe it to my parents.
We were given a little booklet thing at D-Now called the "Book of Hope" I want to quote their Ten Ways to Know If It's Love

-never calls someone a bad name

-puts up with the annoying things that others do

In my relationships, I want to demonstrate these ten qualities so that everyone else won't have to question if I love them or not.
